Hi, I’m Michelle.
I am a compassionate and committed therapist who supports individuals, couples, and neurodivergent individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and relationships, building deeper emotional well-being and a path to personal growth. My work focuses on self-discovery and building greater self-awareness. I am genuinely curious about people’s unique lived experiences and life journeys, and believe that understanding your story is an important part of the therapeutic process. My work with couples also includes enhancing communication strategies, emotional connection, intimacy, trust and parenting strategies.
My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and exploring what matters most to you. Together, we can identify and build on your strengths, connect with your values, and develop practical strategies that support the life you want to create. Through this process, you can deepen your self-understanding, strengthen your confidence and resilience, improve your relationships, and create greater meaning and fulfillment in your life.
My approach is respectful, trauma-informed, client-centred, and collaborative. I draw on practical, evidence-based strategies and use an integrative counselling approach, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to work alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect.
My multicultural upbringing has shaped my appreciation for the many ways culture, identity, and life experiences influence how we understand ourselves and the world around us. I strive to bring cultural sensitivity and openness to my work and to build a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, understanding, and collaboration. I have lived experience with life transitions such as shifting careers, parenthood, elder care, and navigating empty nest syndrome.
Whether you are working through past experiences, navigating a difficult transition, struggling with relationships, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, we can work together to identify the challenges you are facing and the strengths and resources you already possess. My hope is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence while helping you move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
If you are ready to take the next step, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can talk about what you are experiencing, what you hope to gain from therapy, and whether we might be a good fit. I would be honoured to support you in finding a way forward.

Questions You May Have
It’s common to come to therapy with questions. Here are answers to some of the most frequent ones I hear.
Do you offer couples counselling in Toronto for blended families dealing with parenting challenges?
Yes, I provide couples therapy for blended families in -person in Toronto and also online across Ontario. I help stepparents and biological parents navigate co-parenting, relationships with kids, and ex-partner relationship strain. As part of a blended family myself, I understand these challenges firsthand. Our work may include exploring parenting values, strategies, setting boundaries, and reconnecting as partners while managing complex family dynamics.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples in Toronto?
Yes. I love supporting LGBTQ+ couples and am here to work with you with the various dynamics that are particular to your relationship. Whether it be emotional disconnection, intimacy, family issues, communication blocks, conflict, decision making, life transitions, neurodivergence, or parenting, I would be honoured to help guide you towards your best selves and vision of who you want to be as a couple.
Can you help us as a neurodivergent couple with communication challenges in Toronto?
Yes, I work with many neurodivergent couples whether one or both partners are autistic, have ADHD, or are AuDHD regarding division of household labour. This is a very common challenge for many relationships, and it is an area that can improve with support! We’ll look at understanding what areas you struggle with regarding responsibilities and individual challenges such as executive function, sensory load, task visibility, and energy management that may be getting in the way. We’ll have new conversations that address differences, individual and couple needs, and build creative systems that work for you and your relationship.
Will therapy help me as a high achiever?
Yes. I provide therapy for high achievers in Toronto who are struggling with work-life balance, imposter syndrome, boundary issues, executive burnout, workaholic tendencies, perfectionism or people pleasing patterns. I won’t tell you to stop working (unless you want to!) but will listen to your vision, goals, passion, drive, and work with you to develop more sustainable habits and address whatever particular issues you feel are holding you back. As a high achiever myself, I understand the importance of being supported to balance hard work with one’s emotional and physical well-being.
Do you work with couples who are in crisis or are considering separation or divorce?
Yes, I help couples in Toronto who are at a breaking point, whether dealing with infidelity, years of disconnection, or considering separation. This can be a very painful time for couples with heightened emotions where stakes feel high. I won’t decide whether your relationship should continue, but I’ll help you get clarity on what you actually want and whether you feel repair is possible. We’ll address issues such as betrayal, broken trust, resentment, and emotional patterns keeping you stuck.
What type of therapy helps with childhood trauma?
Childhood trauma can be addressed in therapy through using different modalities such as trauma-informed approaches, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Attachment Based Therapy. I provide trauma-informed therapy for both men and women in Toronto and Ontario dealing with anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, triggers, and patterns rooted in childhood trauma. My approach includes supporting you to change limiting beliefs, break relationship patterns, and build self-compassion.
Does therapy help neurodivergent couples with autism or ADHD?
Therapy for neurodivergent youth creates a space where masking isn’t necessary, where you can be honest about how exhausting it is to fit in all day at school. We work on understanding how your brain works differently (not wrong, just different), building emotional regulation skills that actually work for your unique needs, and exploring identity beyond labels. You’ll learn to navigate peer relationships, school stress, and family dynamics while honoring what makes you different. This isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you understand yourself and find belonging without changing who you are.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments in Toronto?
Yes. I offer sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 9pm online, and Saturdays from 11am to 5pm In-person in Toronto at 455 Avenue Road. I also offer day time appointments online on Tuesdays for clients living anywhere in Ontario.
